The Unexamined Life
I wonder what people would do if they opened their eyes to the world, actually looked at it. Socrates once said "the unexamined life is not worth living", yet people blunder their way through life completely oblivious. This baffles me, how can someone see so little? There is so much in the world that you have to grasp as much as you can. There's no point stumbling through. If people even looked around them for a minute every day I think they'd be astounded by what they would find. They'd realise what a fucked up beautiful world this is. They'd see the emotions people hide, they'd see the glances people miss. They'd see right through everyone's mask. They'd appreciate life more. But people don't open their eyes, they don't look so they don't see.
